As part of an initiative to streamline its network audio lineup, Linn is formally launching a new range of digital music players called Selekt DSM. The striking new design is sleek and understated, standing out from the crowd visually when set against other Linn products (with the possible exception of Klimax, of course!). A multi-function glass dial sits atop the unit, inviting the user to interact with their personal music collection. With four models to choose from, there is a Selekt DSM model for most any application:
- Selekt DSM with analog audio outputs only ($5,200)
- Selekt DSM with integrated power amplifier ($6,825)
- Selekt DSM with analog out and Katalyst® DAC ($7,000)
- Selekt DSM with integrated amp & Katalyst® DAC ($8,775)
Announced alongside this release is Linn’s next generation acoustic modeling software called Space Optimisation. This bespoke software builds an acoustic model of your listening space and adjusts for a more coherent overall sound. It’s a technology unique to Linn and must be heard to be believed.
Selekt DSM will begin shipping to the United States in October 2018.
