Our Story
Sound Image was founded in 2001 by Richard Jenkins and Lawson Hale. Our love of music is what drives our passion for all things Hi-Fi.
If the goal of a Hi-Fi system is to faithfully reproduce the original performance, what better way to find out than use one of your own!
Our mission at Sound Image is a simple one – help others to develop a more personal connection to the music they love and cherish. We feel music is most enjoyable in its purest form, with nothing in the way between the listener and performer. Hi-Fi systems can and do get in the way, so it’s our mission to minimize these effects. By carefully selecting partners in the industry that share our core values and understand music fundamentals, we can offer systems that will thrill our customers for a lifetime.
Over the course of our 22 year history, we have come across many manufacturers that understand clearly the principles of music, and many that sadly do not. Through comparative listening, we have carefully curated our portfolio to represent some of the most competent and thoughtful minds within our industry. One of our core brands – Linn Products – even produces and sells their own recordings. If the goal of a Hi-Fi system is to faithfully reproduce the original performance, what better way to find out than use one of your own!
Never content, we constantly challenge ourselves to find new and better methods to achieve our stated goals of preserving music in its most natural form. Curious minds that we are, new experiments and ideas sometimes fail but we ultimately gain knowledge in the process. To conclude, we are not standing still on our journey towards musical nirvana, and all are welcome to come along for the ride.

I drove from Augusta to Sound Image to experience HiFi Audio for the first time. Did I am an aspiring audiophile who was in search of audio bliss that one reads about or learns by online videos. My search finally came to an end at Sound and Image in Roswell, Georgia. After giving me a tour of their intimate and beautiful store, Lawson and Declan proceeded to take me on an immersive and exciting journey leading me to a musical paradise where electronics and HiFi equipment simply disappear; leaving only the music and listener alone to enjoy one another as “One Being”. The service is bespoke and the two can meet any listener exactly where they’re at. May 11, 2025This customer feedback is spontaneous and unrehearsed. I am so happy!! After considerable delay (on my part) I was finally able to meet with Mr. Lawson Hale, proprietor of Sound Image. He installed the upgrades and returned my LP12 in short order and in the best condition it's ever been. Mr. Hale was very patient and considerate of me and my situation. His assistant Luca enjoyed licking my face. I intend on returning to upgrade the spindle bearing and bring doggy treats. I am so happy and I believe you will be too!

I was replacing my existing whole home audio. I had done my research and settled on a Linn Streaming Server. I found Sound Image was a Linn distributor and that's where I met Lawson. He came out to my house and did his due diligence. He made several recommendations that all made sense. He ordered the hardware, came out and did the install. I am absolutely over the moon with the job they did. The sound inside and outside of my house is fantastic. Lawson knows his stuff!

I bought a pair of DeVore Fidelity speakers, and the whole experience was great. The owner, Larson Hale, is a terrific guy, who loves music as much as he loves high end audio.
