For those of you who know us well, our passion for accurate music reproduction is one of our core values at Sound Image. When it came time to pick a partner who shares these same principals for video reproduction, the choice was an easy one to make…
The folks at Wolf Cinema are positively obsessive about image reproduction, much in the same way we share a passion for fine music systems. Wolf has been engineering some of the most accurate and lifelike projection systems since the company was founded in 2008. From the smallest home theater systems to the largest screening rooms, Wolf has a projector to meet any application. Imaging technologies such as DLP and LCD (D-ILA) are employed, with some models utilizing laser light engines, which offer high brightness and extended lamp life.
Tuned for perfection
In order to bring home a true cinematic experience, special care is needed to ensure accurate reproduction of the original source material. All Wolf projection systems are hand calibrated by a skilled technician before leaving the factory for accurate color and greyscale levels (along with many other factors). Wolf coined the term “filmic” in describing their imagers, and we couldn’t agree more. Having a Wolf projector in your home cinema means endless hours of viewing enjoyment without fatigue.
4K is a buzzword repeated often these days, and the newest models from Wolf Cinema are up to the challenge. Wolf is constantly adapting their units to meet the demands of emerging technologies such as 4K UltraHD, HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 and HDR (high dynamic range) content.
For those who want the ultimate in image reproduction, outboard video processing (scalers) can be added to any Wolf projection system, further enhancing Wolf’s legendary smooth motion and color accuracy. Adding an external scaler unlocks advanced color management controls to achieve near-perfect color accuracy and ultra-wide contrast levels in all viewing modes (even on standard definition sources).
Many Wolf projectors can also be fitted with true anamorphic Cinemascope lenses, allowing full resolution of ultra-widescreen films — just as the director intended.
In the end, seeing is believing. We invite you to experience Wolf Cinema for yourself — and become a believer, too.
